How to use UiO ID to get your access card

Download the app via the checklist in My studies. To use the app, you need a valid Norwegian passport or national ID card.

1. Scan your ID document
   • Use your phone¡¯s camera and point it at the ID document to read the information. You can only scan Norwegian passports or national ID cards.
2. Read the chip
   • Hold the ID document close to your phone to read the embedded chip.
3. Submit the photo
   • The app retrieves the photo automatically. You then send it to the Card Centre for printing of your access card.
4. Complete your order
   • Return to the checklist in My Studies to order the access card, choose a pickup location, and receive a notification when the card is ready.
