VACATION PERIOD / SUMMER CLOSURE 2025.
The Occupational Health Service Unit will be closed in July.
Your email will not be processed until August. From August, new inquiries will be reviewed and allocated on a weekly basis. Our normal response time is within one to two weeks, but during periods of high demand, it may take longer.
Staffing – Autumn 2025:
There will be reduced staffing across all areas of expertise. We will do our best to follow up all inquiries as well as possible, but some delays must be expected.Ergonomics:
From August to October, we do not have a physiotherapist available at the unit. Capacity for ergonomic services will therefore be particularly limited during this period.For questions about computer glasses, we recommend reading the following guidelines:

- The Occupational Health Service Unit is located in Kristian Ottosen's House - the lower floor- at campus Blindern.
- All inquiries made to the unit are treated confidentially and following the privacy policy. We maintain privacy policies even if consultations are digital.
- We are still providing digital services after special agreements. The digital services will be on Zoom or Teams.
- Employees who, for various reasons, are affected by war and natural catastrophe and need a conversation with OHS, are welcome to contact us.
Our responsibilities and services
- The Occupational Health Service Unit supports employers, staff, working environment committees, and safety representatives in creating safe and sound working conditions.
- The unit comprises specialists in occupational health, the psycho-social and organizational working environment, ergonomics, and occupational hygiene. The Occupational Health Service has a free and independent position at the University of Oslo.
- Employees are welcome to get in touch for a conversation
- We will generally answer new inquiries within five workdays. In July 2024 we have reduced staff coverage.
- There are many inquiries to the OHS, and our capacity is, to a certain degree, restricted. The follow-up, in some cases, may therefore take longer.
